One of the great things of traveling to Mexico is the endless number of activities you can participate in. Especially if you love water, there is always something to do.

One of our favorite areas to visit is the Riviera Maya. We travel there for the ruins, the gorgeous warm beaches, and their eco parks.

The first eco park we attended in the Riviera Maya is Xcaret. It is the most popular park in the area and a must see if you’re a first timer here. It’s also probably better for small children than some of the other parks since they may be more physically exhausting.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any of my own photos to share because its tough to gather pictures when you’re in and out of the water, but below I pasted some images that I feel reflect the park. Xcaret is also great because its educational, they have a butterfly pavilion, and a mayan show every night. For the more adventurous, you can go swimming dolphins, or with nursing sharks! I didn’t dare to swim with sharks and everyone in the pool looked pretty scared. While these sharks are pretty calm, they were about 6ft long.

Also, your entry includes a meal and a beverage.

We did go swimming with Dolphins, but not at Xcaret. We went to Dolphinaris. They specialize in swimming with Dolphins and it’s a bit more private than at Xcaret. I really like the experience and would recommend it.
